Richard’s art sphere has two interacting components; a visual communication reference he is currently writing and illustrating, and the sculptures he is planning and making.
His mix of abstract and functional sculpture is influenced by his investigation of the ‘natural curve’ or spiral. He uses the spiral in sculpture as it is used in nature; to define space, create surface and provide structure.
Paul Haslam
Although Paul perpetually challenges conformity, he has opted to study Fine Art at the Goulburn TAFE in an effort to better understand the contrast of the man made and natural forms and how they can coexist harmoniously.
Paul uses timber, with it’s integral characters and beauty, as the catalyst to bring the natural elements into play. The timber becomes a vehicle for audience participation.
